Hey peeps...

Got a question for you all. I'm bridging my amps into each of my subs right now, but they're not handeling the power all that well. If I was to go with dual voice coil subs, what would this do to the peak power of my amps? I know that I couldn't run them in parallel, but what about running them in series for a combined resistance of 8 ohms?

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah... for the record, I'm usint 2 MTX Blue thunder Pro amps... currently running at 300W bridged each... and I'm looking at a set of Alpine type R, 12"'s.....

most subs run best at 4ohms and 2 ohms...most amps will put out more power at a 2 ohm load , meaning running the subs parallel down to a 2 ohm load..or running them at a 4ohm load...if you have an 8 ohm sub bridged on one amp, then youre not gettting the full power to the sub, they're meant to run in a multiple sub set-up
