Hi, not exactly new to the forum but this is my first question.

I have an '01, how do you get to the light that is in the compartment in front of the shifter? It's just a little light. I've read in the same thread that it is a 74 and a 24, can someone verify that? Also, would that be one like Autozone would stock in red? I know they have 194's and 211's in red, but I know most of what they have is just clear, since that is well, standard obviously. This is my last night I need to change over to red and it's just really bugging me that I can't figure out how to get to the darn thing. Thanks

its easier to get two small led's, snip the wires to the light, and connect them to the leds.

just drill two holes and mount them in the top. i did that and you CAN'T see them at all in there

Ok, but like, how do I get to that light to snip the wires in the first place? I guess I'm all-in-all trying to figure out how to get access to change that light one way or another.

you have to take off the shifter, remove the shifter trim, then remove the radio trim, it's attached to that. to remove the shifter pull the staple out of the front of the handle. to remove the trim pieces gently pry with a flathead screwdriver

Sweet, thanks. Will try and get at it tomorrow.

Get all my lights I want in and one of my friends noticed my one of my taillights was dead tonight. The irony.
