A few nights ago I put in my new glowing gauge set. And wired it to the light in the little cubby hole. After driving in the city with my gf we noticed that every time we hit a bump in the road it would flicker. So I went to reconnect the wire tonight. And a black wire from one of my LED's accidentally tapped the red wire. And I saw like a quick flash. And now nothing dims in my car. I can either have everything on, or off. My check engine light aslo came on after this.
Any Ideas? =/
Thanks.

you wired it to the wrong thing. Wire the hot wire to the gray wire in the bundle leading into the guage cluster...then bolt the cold wire to the firewall.
I hate it when people don't read the FAQ/how-to properly and then ask why it went wrong. RTFM!!!!

no he didnt, he can tap right into the dimmer switch if he wants. The yellow wire I think. sounds like you blew a fuse, replace it. probably on the drivers side fuse panel on the side of the dash.

he didn't tap into the switch though. he tapped into a light. the gray wire on the cluster is sooo much easier, IMO.

and either use crimp on taps(can get em at any auto or hardware store) or solder your connections.

I did that. I used the gray wire leading in to the gauge cluster and I got nothing. So I went down to the wires in to the cubby hole because I know that they dim when I use the switch.

My problem has changed. Its that none of my interior lights work at all. I know what I did as far as the mistake goes. I understand that. I replaced the dimming switch today from one at the junk yard. and still got nothing. a friend of mine and I both went throught the fuses, but havent found one that looks blown. Im stumped. ![Sad](images/smilies/smilies/sad.gif)

i would think it would have to be the interior lights fuse, that one is on the passenger side on the right bottom corner somewhere.

I checked, and double checked it. the fuse looks fine to me. =/
And in the time I was checking the fuses. My alternator stopped working. And my battery died. -_-
This isnt a very good week for me.

Haha. I was going to. But then my gf reminded me that this week I have broken more things on my car than fixed. And her cousin is going to do it for free. So. I will ask him if I can watch / help.
