But why?
Just go to a shop and have a cat-back made for you with a transverse muffler.

yes it'll fit fine. if you just want a stock exhaust thats quiet and has dual tips, and if you can get it cheap, go ahead and go for the GAGT exhaust if you'd like. if you want something thats a little louder and flows better, get a cat-back made with a long resonator and a camaro muffler, like coupe said. it sits sideways under your back bumper and has single inlet and dual outlets....and with the right tips can look really nice.

I have a Borla Camaro muffler...VERY noticeable torque increase on the low end, sounds kinda ricey (but any mods on a 4-banger will do that...except ona STi... ), but with the right tips won't LOOK ricey.

That style muffler is called a cross-flow, just so you know what to look for.

if you go with dual, make sure to get the right side of the bumper cut out so it can look like redog's exhaust. i didn't get my bumper cut out and my exhaust tips hang way too low. it doesn't look good.

STI's and just the WRX's sound rreally really good modded. I was just hanging out with a guy from purdue all weekend that has one and when it's sitting idling it almost sounds like a v8
