Bezel issues
hey, I got lazy and decided to have my deck installed, mostly cause I didn't feel like roostering around with the relocation harness. But the jack asses at the stereo shop couldn't get the bezel that came with the mounting kit to fit and put the trim back on so they tossed it. Has anybody got any cheap but still decent looking ideas of how to keep the metal mounting bracket from showing without buying a whole new mounting kit just for a bezel?

I would go back there and have them get one for you! They must not have used the right kit for it then and they should know how to put it in the right way to begin with by using whatever kit they did. So they should pay for it or fix it for free!!

I'm actually refusing to go back there. I went and bought a new deck, subs, box, amp, and amp kit for my girls truck and they forgot to charge me for the subs, amp, and amp kit. I got out to the car and saw all they charged me for was the deck (wrong price but that's another story in my favor). So about two hours later I get this call from them saying I left some stuff there and need to come back and get it. Turns out, they figured out they forgot to charge me and just wanted to get me back in to pay for the rest. So I said, you guys screwed up but I'll make you a deal. I'll kick in an extra c-note over what I should pay you but you have to throw in an extra set of subs, box, and amp. So they did, but then I realized they forgot to give me the remote to the deck and now they are roostering around saying the can't find one so I'm SOL. Anywho, I thought about trying to get some carbon fiber trim or something to go around the deck to hide the fact there is no bezel. It isn't that big of a deal, just a little detail work.

As far as the remote goes, what brand did you buy? 'Cause my alpine remote works on my GF's brothers alpine and mine is brand new & his is 5 years old, so maybe just check ebay or something

It was an Eclipse 4000 or something like that, but I'm not too worried about it. If she wants it bad enough she can go get, she has the receipt. I'm more concerned about fixing the gap around my deck

I had the same problem with my install, except I did it myself so I still have the bezel, but it won't go on without fabrication and I don't have so much free time...you could glass the thing but that takes $$ or skill...

I just installed my deck the other day and I had the same problem of the bezel for the deck not fitting. So what I did was got a utility knife and started trimming the corners and the sides of the besel. I did it quickly so it's not the best job in the world but looks way better then without it.
