I was hoping to get rims soon but the prob im having is....I want 20"s in the front and 21"s in the back, i don't know if the alero will fit 21's. I can't find nything on how big i can go with the rims.

im serious, i want to order this stuff, im getting american eagle series 25 rims, i just want to know, am i gonna have to cut into my wheel wells? This is going on the stock '99' green alero.

we are also serious. it will look terrible and rather than mess up your suspension and have to cut up the wheel wells and get bigger brakes and the list continues, why not just stick with 18's that will actually look good. Biggest rim I'd dare put on our cars would be 19's. Don't be a moron man

and i checked on American Eagle Wheel's website and those wheels are only offered in 20 and 22". the widths are huge and probably wouldnt fit without modification and only 1 wheel (in 20") even had the appropriate offset. and that is all without mentioning that each wheel is going to weigh nearly 40 pounds

well, what would be your best preferance on what kind and size rims i need, im open for offers, its just that alot of plp were helping me out and going for the 20's and up. I want to see what kinda rims should go on the stock, i am going to be winterdriving it with them on.lol.

send me some pic on what kinda rims you guys (and gals) think i should put on. This is the part I hate about cars, billions of rims, 1 set to choose from. I would really like the imput.

basically the point everyone is trying to make is stock rims look best on a stock alero. If you arent lowering it or doing anything else, wheels will look out of place. My suggestion: Lower it with a lowering kit and toss on a set of 18's or 19's. And i'm going out on a limb when you said you were driving it in the winter you were joking as you wouldnt move anywhere.

As far as the look of the wheel if you do decide to go about lowering and putting on a reasonable set of 18's or 19's at biggest, I'd say your eye is pretty keen on wheels. The set you picked out looked great, they just wouldnt fit or look right on a stock alero. If they made those in 18's you'd be all set. Why dont you ask Brent (Sweetnlow) about his rims for sale in the Bazaar section. They are somewhat similar to what you were looking at, come with tires and fit. Then get a set of lowering springs.

I know it's not an Alero, but here's a Monte on 26's. You just got to stick a truck frame or some kind of lift kit under the car and you're set.

I think 20's and up should only be on trucks and SUVs... The alero definately looks better with 18's (even though I still have stock.) I actually like the stock wheels, and plan on keeping them for a while... I just don't have the money to spend on new wheels and tires for a while... and I'll probably be selling the alero by time I have a really good job to get the money..

I know for a fact Aftermath has 20's on his car, and Sweet is probably going to be next, but both cars are bagged.

It's going to cost you a lot more than the $2500 for the rims to make it work

I agree not on alero's but there are other cars out there that 20's and up look good on. Full sized Impala's and Cadis just to name 2.

I have 20's on the front and back, not lowered yet but 20's in my opinion look awesome on an alero.

yea mines on 20's but mines the correct offset and width. Mines the RARE 20x7.5" wide on +40mm offset. But i'm running 225/30/20 tires which is less than 1/2" of sidewall. Daily driven, my rims are having stress marks from taking the beating of daily driving.

20's fit, but for no modification you need to have the correct offset and width. If not then expect using spacers/adapters and prolly cutting the wheel well/strut
