I believe that GM got the ecotec up to 283HP before they blew anything up (all 4 rods). But you wouldn't want to go anywhere near that unless you're very experienced.

They ran up to 390hp on all stock motor (lol all 4 rods simultaneously snapped). I was looking into nitrous and here are my recommendations. There are plenty of people running 100 shots on all stock motors. I would run a 75 or less and it has to be wet. It would also be advisable to get an msd ignition so you can adjust for timing if you go above 75.
