17's up front and 18's out back???
Do you think an alero would look ok with 17" wheels in the front and 18" in the back? my car is lowered and im getting a razzi kit soon. with the 17s i have now, i think going to 18s in the rear would look nice, but what tire size would i get? i have 225/45/17, should i try to keep the same amount of sidewall as the fronts or just go to 225/40/18 in the back?
thanks

on a coupe, with 18's and 19's yes i'd say it could look ok. On a white sedan, like yours, I'd say hell no. You want wider tires in the back thats one thing, but dont stagger the rim sizes too. it would look dumb.
Let's say you go with 18's, do like 225/40R18 in the front, 245/35R18 in the rear.

Kind of gives it a sports car look with the taller tires in the back.

Yeah, those FWD cars with huge slicks AT THE TRACK!!!!!
Those are drag cars. You don't find them in the McDonald Drive-Thru at 2 in the morning.

I don't care where they are, they still look stupid
All I'm sayin' is that people are ripping on him because he would dare to put bigger wheels on back of a FWD car when all it's for is looks, and bigger wheels look better in back then in front even though in front it may hold some actual performance potential.

I beg to differ haha, a guy around here has a hatch that eats Mustang GT's and Camero's all day long. Tore up my buddies '06 Gixxer 6 as well. Things a street terror and has some big ol street legal drag slicks. Drives it quite often haha kinda funny actually.

Puhleeeze!!!! Come out here where we have a real racing scene. We have plenty of 300+ hp srt-4s, hatches, tegs, etc that many of whom run drag radials and are too lazy to take them off and put them back on all the time. And before you laugh, we have one of the best street racing scenes anywhere short of places in Cali etc. Best in Idaho, Montana, WY, UT, etc, and regularly get 50-100+ cars together

well just lemme know.
they will look fine with 18's in the rear........ as long as you dont put a really tall tire on the rim to give it that HUGE tire look. the bigger rim will make your car look like its lowered more
