Air not working....kind of
im pissed, ive been looking for like 20 min to see if anyone else on here had this problem, i know people have because i remember seeing the thread but i cant find it now.
so my question is.....how do i fix my air?
when i turn the knob to the first dot----nothing
turn it to the second dot----nothing
then it starts working after the 2nd one.
is there a way to fix it so i can get air out of the vents on the first dot???? it used to work a few months ago, but then it just stopped.

you have the blower motor resistor problem. the "how to" on gagt.com is pretty comprehensive.

my fan used to do that but I took it to my local dealer, now im having problems again, but a little different, my fan motor is burning out, i'll start the car up and keep switching the speeds but nothing happens, until I hit the dash by passenger area, then it starts up. but nyway, you need to get a new fan motor.

good advice
Good advice.. but save yourself the 20 $ install..
Its BRUTALLY simple to swap out..
Its just hard to find a comfortable position to swap it out..
If you were to sit in the passenger seat.. and extend your feet and legs as far as you could, your right foot(toes) would be touching the blower resistor.
Take off your plastic cover piece under the glove box, and its there right at the back infront of the firewall, beside the blower motor..
took me all of 20 mins, 10 minutes to find a pillow to lay sideways on..
Good luck

yea well i finally changed out the old blower motor resistor and put the new one in yesterday. Let me tell you, that damn bolt in the back was a PAIN IN THE ASS to get off. wow. now half my upper body is sore cause i was in a weird position for about an hour. lol. but in the end its nice to do stuff yourself, instead of paying someone a crap load of money. WOOHOO fan speed 1 and 2 work!!!

yea well you gotta take the blower out, u wont get it unless u take that out. so just unscrew those 3 bolts that hold the blower on and pull it down, then you will be able to get at the back bolt. lol i wish i did that a lot earlier, but w/e, i learned.
