Rust
ok so I know that our cars have rust issues, my car particularly is getting it bad just behind the doors on both sides, recently a big ol chunk of paint came off. I just wanted to know what anyone else has done and what they reccomend (no I do not have the money to get my car compleatly repainted). If I can I will put pictures up but its friggin cold out.

how new is the car? i think gm puts a time-based guarantee on their paint. i think it was 3 or 5 years...i forget. basically, if you got a 2004, take it to the dealer and they should fix it. alwats get a quote before you decide to get it fixed for sure.

when you do get it fixed...wash your car regularly, once or more a week in the winter and always keep wax on it, salt builds up in the lower portion of your car in the winterand corrodes it

He is correct, prevention is the best fix for rust. All that it takes to start rust is a hairline crack in the paint.
