A "better" electric supercharger?
I just found this today.. not one of those little fans in the intake, but a bit more advanced. Anyone seen these before?

Maybe you've seen the tires melt on our ESCâ„¢-charged test vehicles at Moroso Motosports Park. Maybe you've seen our feature article in Turbo Magazine and the full-page ads in Power Pages, Turbo, and Sport Compact. Or maybe you've seen the buzz across hundreds of message boards and want to know why everyone is so excited about "another POS bilge pump fan that cannot possibly work."

I know what I think. For $1700 I'd rather make a real turbocharger setup.

damn straight. A 9 psi turbo setup should run about $2500. Why not spend the extra cash?

not really....you can build a full turbo setup for about $1,700
650 headers w/crossover and flange
350 turbo
125 wastegate
125 BOV
that's $1,250 for the main hardware, and I guarantee you can get all the remaining accessories, pipes, lines, gauges etc. for $500.

Yeah, it's an okay idea, but the price outweighs it.

Looks like you guys didn't read what I wrote.. lol. I IN NO WAY WANT THIS. I clearly said "it's an okay idea, but the price outweighs it." NOT "it's a good deal". I also, even in the original post said "For $1700 I'd rather make a real turbocharger setup. "

Interesting idea... but doesn't come close to being practical... especially for 1700 when you could just get the intake side of a turbo, cut the bolt for the turbo, weld on an extension and put a damn pully on one end for probably $375 max...
Rather go turbo or supercharged any day... or both... that'd be sexy xD
Whine + BOV = lots of "WTF do you have in that?" stares

I have a question, not an insult, but what is your facination with "electric" gadgets? I think we've discussed inside and out that they're not good, and yet you continue to make more posts, and create new threads about them. Is there something I'm missing?
I think the item would make a hellacious electric bong, however.
