Won't start.......

okay so i'm currently working on this but any input would be appreciated....

01' GX..standard trans...with around 105K on it, and now it won't start. Try to start it and all i'm hearing is the engine crank, but won't turn over. Also: when i'm trying to start it the display and air will shut off, then come back on for no reason. I'm getting a check engine AND SES light, but don't know if those will turn off once i get her started.

Don't know if this is related or not, but right before this i noticed some wierd stuff with the electrical system.....electric lock won't work from passenger side, "trac off" light comes on randomly, and reverse lights don't come on even when all the other trunk lights do.

like i said, any input is great right now....

With all the electrical problems you are having, you need to start at the possible roots of the problem. Battery connections, etc. I wish you could get it to an autozone just in case you were throwing a code.

i got it started today......it's throwing a code: "mass communication error".....I was like WTF but i have somebody coming over this weekend to help me figure it out.

By the way, once it was started, it was going crazy like turning display lights and stuff on and off and all sorts of stupid stuff. The one thing that's interesting is that the whole time this is happening my alpine head unit does just fine, display stays on and isn't affected which leads me to belive that it's not an issue with battery connections or power system. I think this error code is gonna end with some major $$$$$$

Just thought i would update this one in case anyone is interested.

Hooked it up to a diag pc....and it threw about 23 codes out, no bs.
I enlisted a mechanic friend to help, and after hunting down the meaning
and fix to almost every code in there, we were still left only knowing that some computer was bad. Which one we didn't know. So he individually tested the pcm, bcm, and other engine computer for me while i was at work, all tested good. Then he decided to pull the ignition switch and play with it a while, and as soon as he messed with the back of it all of the wierd problems started happening again. So we're putting in a new ignition and battery just for good measure. I'm so upset that i got so screwed by a GM car that i'm probably just gonna sell and get another honda.....so anyway good luck to the rest of you and hope you don't get these kinds of problems.
