Dhp Pcm???
Ok so I have a few questions. Is PFYC.com the best place to purchase this PCM mod? Its 100 after u return the core.
Now I only have a WAI with a custom cold air box. Something I made from home depot. I don't plan on getting an exhaust. Maybe the 180 thermostat and that it. Would I still get the performance from the PCM??? Is this recommended?

you will gain a few horse. the best features are the improvements to the transmission setup. I have one, its a nice mod but remember that you need to switch to 91 octane after you install the pcm, thats a detterent to some people. It will work fine with the mods you have. But next time try the search feature, this has been discussed lots around here.

i had to get one, it was only like $30. No big deal. Just make sure they do only the learn and not a reflash cause that will put the whole pcm you just bought back to stock.

the less mods you have the less gain you will see from this PCM. the PCM mod is somewhat of a multiplier to your other supporting mods.

it'll run fine, most likely it will run rich which equals a drop in MPG but it will be slight.

The Security Relearn is a relatively simple procedure that takes around 15 to 25 minutes, so that the car will actually start. Apparently it thinks you are stealing it or something when you replace the PCM.
The CASE learn is something that can be done by the dealership for a nominal fee, and should be done soon after you get the PCM, usually when your car throws a SES or Check Engine light. CASE learns just makes sure everything is correct with the crank case positioning. In my case as well as Jackals, there was no CASE learn required, so we were fortunate .
Yeah thats about it, and they have been discussed a lot, I did a good bit of research before getting mine, its worth it imo.

shackney i ran a dhp v 1.0 for almost a year without exhaust. Then a friend with powertunr pushed it even further on the stock exhaust. Its not stock any more though. I ended up getting better milage. It will be fine.

Mine is throwing a SES light but i figured it was O2 sensors reading rich, so i should get a case learn if its throwing the code and what could happen if a dont get the learn

^^Most people who get the code generally just take it to the dealership and get the Relearn. I don't know of anyone who didn't get it just to SEE what would happen. I can tell you that without the Relearn, the speed limiter is removed and the fans do stay on after the car is turned off for cooldown, so some features are automatic. But from what I believe, the Relearn is for the Crankcase Position which controls the timing advance i.e. spark/fuel ignition. With the fuel map being advanced more by the new PCM but not have the Relearn adjusted to it will make it run rich..............or lean. One of them, I dunno.
On the other hand, the SES code is thrown whenever the PCM is removed, whether replacing it with an upgrade or removing the stock one for God knows what and putting it back in. It's a safety feature. On the latter, I believe the car would still run fine with the stock. Can't say the same with the upgrade though with the changes made to the map, so just play it safe and get it cleared.

the car will not start until you do the security relearn, so yes you will not see any gains until the relearn is done.

The only things you NEED for the PCM is the 180* Thromo, and 91 or better octane.
But like it's been said, the less mods you have, the less gain you'll get from this
