I have 235/45R17 with good results. You can even go wider depending on the width of your wheel.

I've been on sprint springs for almost a year now and no problems. Why not go 18" on the wheels? As far as the tires I'll let you know a buddy of mine just ordered some and they should be here in a couple of days I'll let you know how he likes em.

I myself like the tire to wheel ratio on the 17s.

If you live in an area with a lot of pot holes, dont get 18s.
17s are perfect for areas with pot holes.
post pics of the rims with the tire on them when you get them, i want to see how big the tire looks on 17s.

Although with ground effects (i.e. Razzi) I think 18s look better. I would pick up some 18" Centerline RPM's but the offset is not quite what I want.

At least your tires won't say Kum Ho on them like mine lol... But I was a little bit shocked at the price when I started pricing tires for 18s. My rims were cheaper (ouch).

I like the 17's on the car. 18's are OK, but it's usually a good rule of thumb to only plus size by 1 larger than the biggest size the car has stock.
I have the Michielle Exalto Pilot Sports A/S 225/45/17's on my rims, great tire, but very expensive
O and potholes can damage 17's, I had to buy 2 new rims last year

The Nitto Neogen tires are overall a great tire. Very little road noise and great grip.
