muffler question
Im kindof broke right now so I cant afford a cat back, so until I get the money I just want to put on a muffler. I heard that the stock alero piping is 2.0" so if I just cut off the stock muffler and then bought another muffler with a 2.25 inlet and put it on using a sleeve and muffler clamps would that work or do I have to weld it and make brakets for it? and also what size sleeve should I use?
thanks in advance

Was that $300 for dual or single exahust? With a aftermarket muffler (flowmaster or magnaflow) or just a regular one?

Just a muffler, about an hour, but labor will be from $50 to $90 an hour.
Save up and do it right

i was just speaking in general, depends on what your local muffler shop charges, i bought a SLP off someone from the boards, installed it with U clamps and then went to meineke and paid them $35 to weld it on

ya man, do it right the first time or you'll just find yourself spending more money to buy 2nd rate job only to fix it with a proper one, not worth it, just save up and you'll be much more happier with the results
