Factory CD changer?

I have the 2000 radio in my car and I want to get the iPod interface kit for it.

The guy at Best Buy told me that it would work if I have a port or something so that I can have a factory installed CD changer. This warning is on the back of the package for 99-01 Aleros

It looks like it's a piggy back type system. The iPod thingy would be between the stero and the hardness.

i know on my kenwood its an RCA cable that goes to the back of the headunit and then has the ipod hookup at the end of that, not sure how it would work on the stocker

No I have the stock radio, and I'm not planing on getting a new aftermarket one

just buy an fm modulator......... much easier

Don't you have to splice them in? I have my guage pod and now the pressure switch for the horn.

I guess I could make it work if I had to

If you had the changer controls you should have an additional spot to plug in a 9? pin flat harness in the back of your radio in '99 and '00 modes, and a 12-pin square harness in '01+

I'm not sure on the older radios, but they may have an "AUX" button too...
