lol oh there's more to the legacy of my alero... bought in december of 05... 4 months after i got it regulators in drivers side window broke, few weeks later the brakes stopped working when it got cold or wet outside... turned out rear calipers were ceased, so replaced calipers, brakepads, rotors, on the entire thing.... few days after tires were worn out (wear and tear so no biggy) threw some new michelins on it... then few days after that the windshield cracked... so threw a new windshield in it... brakes started acting up again..... so threw a new brakebooster and valve in it..... brakes started working fine again... oh and somewhere in there i let my sister drive it and she backed in to something and cracked the back bumper (didn't care anymore at this point)... and at some point i was being responsible and not drinking and driving so someone kicked out a tail light and kicked in the drivers side fender
then everything i just told you about lol.... remember... it all happened from december 05 till a week ago...

so it sounds like half of your problems with your alero were your own dumbass fault.
sounds like every car you own you grow to hate since you obviously had a bad experience with a chrysler product.
why dont you just move on to your new mazda forum im sure your on and get the eff outta here cause im pretty positive everyone is tired of hearing about you wine and bitch about how bad of a car your alero was.

thats what happens when you dont do regular maintenance on your car, then you get all of this shit that piles up that HAS to be taken care of. you could of fixed the starter for 138$ at autozone and about 25 mins of your time, the blinkers dont work because you have to wiggle the hazard light switch and the LIMG is a known problem with the aleros, you should have had yours checked before your waranty was up, and im guessing that you had tranny problems from various times of driving it in 1st gear, if you treat your car like shit its not going to hold up to "your standards"

for once I gotta agree with SweetNLow.
To Antichrysler:
So I will warn you know that if you would like to keep your priviledge of membership to this forum then please cut out the constant bashing on Olds and/or the alero. Some members on here still like to have their car and also have respect for their car even after they move on to another car. So if you cannot contribute to this forum in a positive manner I will make sure to bring up this issue with Naich and the other Admins.
Now the ball is in your court Antichrysler ... make you next decision wisely!
EDIT: Sorry if I seem like a d1ck right now but as sweet said there are people that are tired of your crap and have voiced their concerns to me.
Sorry Raycheal for hijacking your thread. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Wow, this thread has gotten......um, interesting? My uncle has owned 2 TA's now and he absolutely loves them. The difference is that his just sits in the garage for a nice day, and then he takes it out..its not his DD by any means. If you like it, I'd say get it. I didn't read through every line of text here, but from what I sure your insurance is going to be stupid high. What did I read $327 or something? I was paying that every 6 months for the alero. Yes, I understand they are a different class of cars, which is a huge reason (well on top of gas) why I backed away from the GTO a few months ago.

I agree with everyone else, i said the same thing.... stop bashing aleros. I still love mine, and so do a lot of other people on this forum.....
This has happened a few times, people get a new car on here and they dont leave the forum. then they always talk bad about their alero. i mean is this board gonna get filled up with people who like to bash on aleros???
other than my coolant leak, blower motor resistor(cheap fix), and my hub assembly. Im very happy with the car, i love it!

lol well i think in someways the what i was trying to say has been taken in a very negative light... which wasn't my intention... i'm not the best person with words
personally i have absolutely no complaint about aleros... i love em... my grandpas had nothing but good luck with his... and maybe when i'm cursing my alero it's seen as i'm against all of them... which is not the case... i just got a dud... every mfr has them

hehe! It's okay! I actually thought it was really funny. i mean seriously, I was laughty my friggin butt off reading about all the things that went wrong with it. I don't think he was bashing alero's, I think he was jus stating problems he had with it...but maybe I'm an optimist. I love my alero but I'm just looking for something that fits my needs, wants, and whatever else.

yeah, it's time to back off when the insurance is higher than the car payment. My dealer (who my daddy golfs with) is trying to work with me on a couple cars and it looks like I might keep the Alero for a while. I'm kinda sad but I don't wanna get upside down on it...too bad they didn't keep makin up, I bet by now the new body styles would be sick!

all I know is if I ever had to wear a neckbrace or sit up straight I couldn't see stop lights...never been in the backseat of my car other than taking the seat out to run wires for the amp and sub
