Braking problem front Calipers

Hi,
i have a guestion, i have a 2001 Alero, and i am living in the Netherlands (europe).
when i bought the car, the front brakes did make a cracking noise.
i went to the chevrolet dealer, who disammebled the front calipers, and put some special (GM) oil on the pistons.
and the problem was over.
now 3000 km later, the problem is getting back.
is this a common problem with these brakes, and what can i do with it.
i am sorry for my poor english.

greetings Patrick

I have to say I have never heard of brakes Cracking. Squealing is fairly normal (pads Vibrating) but I have never heard of them cracking.

hi,
i have to explain it a little more i think, the brakes make a
Crunchy sound at slow speeds and stopping.

the car is standing most of the time in the garage, so i don't drive it very often.

when i drive it for like one hour, i think it is getting better.
is this a common problem, i read on another forum, the only solution is new calipers.

normal wear and tear..

its the rust on your rotors accumulating, because you dont drive it often..

it will go away after some breaking (pun intented) in time..

dont owrry about it, just drive it more often if it bugs you..
