It would be pretty cool if you did, and fast. Start looking on different fourms for more instalation info. if you can find it.

I saw that motor in a 99 Cavy in Quebec.

If you do it, you'll be the first. It can be done, but a lot of guys just talk about it

Kind of like how people talk about making a 3400 5-speed (which would be easier)...

exactly! its one thing to talk about it but to actually plan it and execute it is another! we will give you more input if we see pics and plans for this swap. and as stated above, you will for sure have to go to another forum to get more info on what should be done and taken into consideration so that nothing will be screwed up

it would be easier to just supercharge you 3400. those engines (3800 supercharged) are heavy and you will have to do alot of modding to make it fit and work right. if you had the time, money, and know-how, go ahead but if i had a 3400, i would supercharge that engine and build it up.

not worth it. As was stated the 90*v6 is a boat anchor. Also the one guy who did do it only made it to low 14's in the 1/4 anyways. So why waste 10k on that when for around 2-3k you could run mid to low 13's on a properly tuned custom turbo setup. And if you have the ability to swap a 3800 you have the ability to weld turbo manifolds.

3800 swap requires the tranny with it, otherwise the pcms wont communicate, so tranny add some axles add the motor......$$$$$$$$$$$ it might be worth it if you come accross them cheap cheap but the whole swap adds alot more weight, custom engine mounts are in order as well. its tough because of the idiot lights but it can be done, but the 3400 has equal potential.

its not heavier by much..... its not like putting a 350 (only if u had the money and if it would fit easy) in it where it would make the front end drop. (somebody did it in a saturn i know its not an alero but still gm)

im already at 14.9 with the 3.4 but its starting to fall apart plus i got a great deal on the 3800 supercharged only series 1 but it doesnt matter because i have the ecm pcm engine tranny and axles

there is still some stuff to get the getrag to work in an alero though its almost like doing an engine swap miss the cutting to get the gearbox in.

I would bet the (all aluminum) LS4 weighs in at least close to the (cast iron) L67

One guy up here in quebec is in the process of putting a 3800 SC in his Alero and fitting him with a 5 speed. So far, the motor is in.
