Well, his myspace says he's in Utah, and I'm pretty sure they measure in miles there...plus in his post, he says his oil changes are every 2000 ~miles~, so I think it's safe to say, that's in miles. To which I say, Kudos! I hope I get there too! I'm at 134,000 now, not even halfway there.

Running high octane is worth every penny if you can afford to (afford not to?) its cleaner, dosent leave as much deposits, and is efficient..

actually, i treat my car very well.... don't want anything to go on it real soon becuz i don't have the money to fix it. preventive maintence goes far...

any idea how much a rebuilt trans would run me? i had the place that changed the trans oil qoute it and they wanted about $2000 which is alot for me.
darn, i hope it holds out for awhile...it was shifting funny today but it does that every so often..

Probably won't find one rebuilt for much less than that. There's always the salvage option though....just try to find one with low miles, and save more if you can pull it yourself.

that would require a complete teardown of the trans....at which point it would be stupid to not replace the clutches and seals (total rebuild)

i'm thinking of selling mine anyway ( i don't care for the 4 door) and trying to find a newer, lower mileage 2 door. does anybody know if they made the 2 doors with the 3400 engine? i prefer the 6 cylindar over the 4 cylindars.

which is what I have, and love.
and for good measure, get the LIMG done right away BEFORE you have a problem. I'm sure if you tell the dealer to check, you might find signs of a leak and they can fix it before you buy it

the performance suspension (FE3) was standard on the GL2 and available on the GLS. You can just check the service parts identification label on the underside of the spare tire cover for the code. FE2 is standard (I don't think any came with FE1).
