Quick Help!

Which is the stock oil pressure sensor?

A or B??

The haynes manual doesn't really specify, and has a really bad picture...

so its probably B. now i'm off to the tool store to find a socket that fits. 1" maybe?

"A" is your knock sensor. "B" is your oil pressure sensor. There is a specific oil sending unit socket to change it.

yeah... i noticed.

argh.

Can be closed. I found it (its B) and you can get it off if you go easy on it with a 1 1/16th Deep well socket.

BOTH my gauges work now.

before someone gets around to closing this...

i just was thinking...

should be my starter's connections really be that rusted?? that can't be good for conduction...

not to mention, i know our fuel pumps are kinda crappy along the lines of starting.... but my starter seems to not want to turn over well all the time. that a possible explanation?

Knew it had to be B if not then they would'nt have a reason to charge an arm and leg if you were to take it to the shop. As far as the starter just clean it with terminal cleaner then coat it with protectant same stuff you use on the batter terminals, can't think of the names though. Somebody leth the man know.

it's cherry, I don't think he needs help with the name of dielectric grease...at least I hope he doesn't. anyway, i don't know that it would help much there, it would probably cook right off as hot as the starter can get. But definitely clean up the connections

Did the sending unit fit without any adapters?

I just put in my oil gauge today, but didn't hook up the sending unit. Not allow to work on the cars here after dark, plus I was hungry and tired. Worked on all 3 cars today
