Secondly, the sensitivity rating will give you an idea on efficiency. Its not necessary a sure fire method to figure what will be louder overall. Especially with subwoofers, just because it has a high number doesnt mean its going to be louder than one with a lesser number.
keep in mind said testing is done with 1 watt of power at 1 meters distance. So when the sub/speaker sees a few hundred watts, its going to react differently. Especially factoring heat built up in the tweeters... This number sucks...
CDT should still have the calssic series components for $150. Thats your best bet. Also Cadence has some brand new comps for $85 shipped via their E Bay store. Thats probably the best bang for the buck.
Kappa mids are weak.
MB Tweets are very harsh.
Both sets have their flaws...

cdt? candence? i've never heard of those brands. i like the to go to
www.onlinecarstereo.com or
www.sonicelectronix.com to read the reviews but i didnt find those.
on ebay, i can grab the infinity's for about 120, and the mbs for 150...
im not looking much bass up front, i'm pretty much looking for clarity with a little bang. im getting a single 12" kicker L7 in the trunk next Jan. to be honest, i would probably be impressed with any set. but if any of you guys know a solid set that produces good clarity with solid mids then i'll go with it.
ryan, are there any flaws with cdt or candence? is there a certain model i should roll with? i like the price range.
