Advice for my subs?

Hey this is my first time getting subs and I was wondering if the dual 12'' Sony Xplod's were any good?

That sub sucks I have the same one at home now just the red version and its the exact same sub. That amp isn't going to push two twelves, and even if you bought two (one for each sub) it still isn't going to do much. Just my opinion! With that sub you also have to be very careful with the spring because it is put on there with very cheap binding product, and they paint the cone first then apply the glue for that so not that good. If your not looking for alot then these are for you shit I paid 109.00 for one of those damn subs and have regretted ever since.

With what he has listed he's going to get subs and no box at that price for decent subs, but with a custom box you can get not so great subs that could out perform name brand. The pioneers on the site above I have seen in action and they are pretty damn good. Kicker 05CVR122 CompVR 12" 2-Ohm Subwoofer these are cool too. All depends on what you want.

Audiobum is crap, along with visonic. If he wants a cheap sub that performs well, get 2 12" eD EHQS. Would be like $50+ shipping for both 12s. Has a 250rms power handling and actually sounds great for a budget setup. Find a decent amp that does 500rms at the voice coil resistance you choose. A box would cost about $30 to build yourself, if you need box plans, i can sketch one up if you give me your max dimensions on where the subs are going.

Also if you aren't interested in those, mach5audio also has some great budget subs, they have made a name for themselves recently.

*also it says 200rms handling, but the people i know that use them put 500 on 2 of them, and they take it well.

As for a budget amp...
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=16363

That hifonics will do the trick for the subs if you order the single 2 voice coils.

Ryan from Ohio will become famous soon enough
I caution you with eD. They make $180 paperweights, I can only imagine how bad a $25 sub can be from them...

So you would have $200 in that eD/Hifonics setup.

Appears you have a few more bucks. Heres a deal that will out stomp all crap and sound good!

http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forum...ead.php?t=8687

$150 for the DX500.1 amp

$95 per SQX sub, get two. So for dang near the same money as your first link you will end up with a system that will be twice or more loud and sound better doing it. Thats right I said twice as loud. Buy the elevation stuff, I will give you a free box design/print package. Im only offering as I want to get the word out about Elevation... Its not my sale, I dont make commission

Very Nice suggestion Ryan. But please dont judge something you've never used. Those $25 subs are a very nice, especially for the price. Also how can you compare loudness when you dont know what box or vehicle he will be running. The box makes the difference. Those $25 ed subs are more the sql leaning to spl. The elevation stuff does look very nice though. It really just depends on his budget.

May I ask why? If you are going to get dual or sony, you would be wasting your money. Do you have any audio stores local to you?
