Oh God the Sqeak..
So... I was driving in my school parking lot and I decided it would be funny to randomly pull the ebrake and do a 180 with my friends in the car.. so I drop it in neutral turn hard right and yank the ebrake... next think I know... I have a chick in my lap my friend is upside down in the back seat and we are all laughing our a$$es off..
Well we are stopped now to I put it back in drive and as I start to Idle I hear... SQUEEEAAAAAAK it sounded like a squeaky door or somthing but I have a bad feeling its coming from my tranny . Whenever I idle and satrt to accelatate it squeaks. It may be my suspension... cause it does it when I hit bumps rarely.. any other ideas? I mean I love this car and I'm pretty much broke... so I dont have money to drop in a new tranny.. or I would be out with the damn automatic.. lol.. anyways I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem or may know where the noise is comeing from.. thanks...
btw painted some of my engine stuff today.. I'll post the pics tomarrow...

why drop it in neutral? e-brake and hit the gas. you need to learn to ebrake before you try to impress friends!

Why would you throw it in neutral? E-Braking leads to major problems.

i'm assuming he put it in neutral because his intention was to do a 180 which would result in him traveling in reverse, so neutral would take any counteracting forces off the tranny, is the logic i'm seeing he had

Yea, I wanted to end up rolling backwards cause I dont wan't to jack up my tranny, but I think it is my tranny that is jacked. Since this summer when I take off, if I let off the gas as the gear shifts it is like bump bump bump and the car thumps. Lol... I love this car to death but I feel like I'm killing it slowly..

ya man, there was no need to drop it into neutral. i use my e-brake a couple times a week (since we have so much damn ice) and you hit the gas, but not hard to get your car to drift sideways a little longer, but your more prone to doing a complete 360 that way if you dont watch what your doing

i am wondering if something with the brakes are stuck...
check the cables on the e-brake.
do you use the e-brake often?
if not, it might just be stuck...

well this is exactly why i dont do that stuff. I treat my baby good :-)
E-braking is just stupid.....
1.) Your tread is going to wear a lot faster if you do it a lot
2.) its not good for your brakes
3.) ITS JUST NOT GOOD FOR YOUR CAR

Well I have a bent rotor... I already knew that though... I need to get a new rotor, I'll get if off a newer car at the salvage yard lol... The Squeek is when I'm in first gear, Its more of a creak than a sqeak, sorry for the bad onomatopoeia, my bad.. it makes the noise of a creaky door.
I can't pinpoint it because it only does it when I move but I can't exactly Ghost Ride The Whip and dive under my car..
