Another Michigan Newbie
Hello All,
My name is Mike and I am an Alero owner and just found this forum.
I purchased my Alero from my parents (Mom's car) back in July 2007. At that time the car had 25,000 miles. Currently the car has 38,000 miles due to my new job location (45 miles one way)
The Car
2002 Alero GL, 3.4L V6. Red exterior, tan Not sure of actual color name) cloth interior. Power moon-roof, 15" alloy wheels (really needs larger wheels), Rear Spoiler, factory am/fm cassette-CD.
There are only two minor problems with my car, but I haven't searched them out on the forum yet.
1. the driver window makes an odd bumping sound when going down, I am assuming that the window regulator may be going based on how many there are for sale on ebay.
2. There is a rattling sound in the dash somewhere that is more audible at lower speeds on uneven pavement (that means every road in Michigan).
I will wait for warmer weather to fix these issues.
Any info on common issues to look for (before they happen) would be welcome.
I am looking forward to allot of good information!
By the way how do you get the amber out of the lens to clear the corners!

Sweet! More Michigan! And I know what you mean about the roads
For the corners use this:

^I didn't know you were in MI.
I'm at 10 Mile near M-10/Southfield atm, Lawrence Tech.
We need to have a MI meet sometime. TheEdgeOfSanity's in Utica, you two are in Macomb, and I'm 40 mins away.

I believe you are on the north side of Lexington (black Alero, white PT cruiser). I am on the south side of Delaware. not that far away, Small World!
