security light
ok so today i went to move my car so my mom could back out.. and the security light came on, and the car wouldnt start. this has only happened one other time. I know its related to that worthless POS passive security system we have, Passlock, but heres my problem. My ignition cyclinder locked up on me at school about 2-3 months ago, and i had to have it replaces, and they said it was so expensive becasue of the passlock integration or whatever. Am i looking at having this pos replaced AGAIN???

did you get any type of warranty? also, there's a security relearn that you may have to do
if it happens again, have it checked out but being the first time it did it just let it go.
my car does random things too and they kinda just never happen again.

Doesn't sound right, if you had is done already, it should be covered under a warranty or something.
I just had mine done too, about a month ago, so yeah, I know how expensive it is

yea they left the old one in the car, and the old one was locked up, as in it wouldnt move. this is deffinitly a new one. and liek i said, its only happneed twice, and turns on after the prescribed 10 minutes, im just schfitzing over blowing my rim budget on the inginiton cylinder... again. anything else that could be causing it?

maybe they forgot to hook it up right? if it was done at school, god knows what was done to it.
I would take it back and be like "Look. you just "fixed" this and its not working again."
also, find where the part was bought at and see if it has a warranty.

dude, don't get a new ignition cylinder. I had mine replaced for $600 becuse a wafer broke (at least that's what I speculate). I was having the same problems as you and I bypassed my passlock and I have had no problems with it since. Look in to bypassing it, not too hard if you have a friend who's good with electronics.
