No. What I'm trying to say that saying gas costs too much and making that an excuse to not go 250 miles is lame. Go and have fun. Really cool bunch of guys and gals there that you can talk to. I was the only Canadian there last year and enjoyed the conversations I had.
At $5 a gallon,it is not hurting me because I don't live paycheck to paycheck. I have a few bucks saved up as always and I know where all my money goes.

That's a lame excuse if anybody starts using it. They could start saving now and have enough gas money even though it won't hurt that bad.

fuel costs + time off work (if necessary) + hotel costs for however many days they stay there, etc
But still. It's worth it. All you noobs better start registering. We had a big list of people who planned to go... now they filter out with sad excuses for not making a ONCE PER YEAR meet of Aleros all across the country(ies).. when other car meets can have 50+ cars for a weekend gig at random, we can't get 30+ Aleros for one time in a year.

heh.... .yeah I'll get right on that...... I thought about ditching the wedding to go to ASS, but he's a friend that I grew up with in Germany and haven't seen for over 10 years now.. They live in the States now and he's getting married in Ohio, so I'm going to go see them instead. It's harder to see them then to go to ASS, so I'll go see them this year, and go to ASS next year. Promise!!!
