taillight covers...?
i know i have never seen covers for the taillights, like those thet have for most trucks and many other cars. just wondering if anybody has seen some somewhere, or if anyone has tried to make them. ive been thinking of the idea to use on my tails.it would just be some flexible, durable plastic cut to reveal only a certain part of the lights, and just painted to match the car, and probly held on with double sided tape or something. hopefully someone has an idea what im talking about. and maybe someone can do some basic photoshop designs or something.

The tail light vinyl that guy sells is crap.
I ordered it and took it off the same day I put it on haha.

i guess not, haha...im well aware of all the tinted covers and whatnot. i was thinking about something like:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...m120265719428&
or
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
but obviously with spots for our lights. either just covering that reflective part between the lights, or covering all but a circle around each light. if i was even halfway decent with photoshop id give it a shot, but i am not. o well.

Generally anything you want that's "aftermarket" for the alero tail lights is custom made. There are no mass produced products for it from what I've seen.
There is a guy who does do custom tail light work (altezza, tints, etc) I just don't remember the link but it's on here somewhere.

Almost any sign shop should have vinyl. The nice thing about vinyl, is that to apply it to curves, you can generally just heat it up with a hair dryer, and it will stretch to anything but the most drastic curves.

If your going to do anything with the tails it going to have to be either vinyl, nightshades, or tint with the adhesive. Static cling will not work! Been there and done that. Or you could put panty hose over it.............LOL...I had wanted to try that but couldn't bring myself to do it.
