ok i have a question. im looking to get a new car deck installed. i dunno something with a screen but anyway i have been told that if i get a deck installed then i HAVE to get a chime module installed also which is like around $150. is this true... do i really need this chime module and what does it do. thanks

no. order from crutchfield or cardomain (if they still sell stuff) and it includes the correct wiring harness for free.

big deal, if you don't connect the right wires to the chimes you won't have the "ding ding ding" that happens when service lights light up or the doors are left open.

i don't know why everyone blows $150-200 on getting a wiring harness when you can order from the top places and get everything included for free, you don't need some crazy expensive harness
