need help with thermostat location
ok so i tried to change my thermostat and found a thread that seemed pretty easy to do.. ( I know I am about to sound even more stupid and retarded than a noob, But I have to ask for help at this point)Well long story short I think I took off the wrong thing. I took of this housing that has a radiator hose going to it,it on the driver side behind and just below the power steering pump. I have included a picture with an arrow showing the general location of where i was working. The thread I was going off of was talking about the throttle body but I never touched that but at the same time when i pulled this housing thing off it had coolant in it and had not only this radiator hose going to it but also like two other hoses and to pull it off i had to undo the power steering pump sensor to get to the two bolts that held this housing deal on...well after deciding that i had just wasted about an hour to two hrs I decided it had to be the wrong thing so now I am lost and asking for your alls help.... I have a membership on alldatadiy.com but after searching that I couldnt figure the pictures out as they are kinda bland or not goo pics to me... so any ideas what i did and what i need to do ?

the thermostat is under the waterpump where the lower coolant hose off the radiator goes to the water pump. remove the 2 bolts holding the pipe to the water pump and there is the t-stat

back side by the firewall under the exhuast manifold. jack up the car and get under it and you'll see it.
