Down here people do that a lot. The cool thing about that is you can tint them any color you want. Theres this silver lightning around here that tinted them silver. It looks pretty nice. From what I understand, the paint shops will get a bunch of clear, and a little of the paint color to be used. Then they apply it on the taillight or headlights. I really liked how it came out on your Alero 420olds. Maybe one day Ill do it on mine.

hmmm mix clear and black and "tint" the wheels. that would look nice. I love the gold color on the car dose that color have matalic in it ? what is the paint code ? is that the stock alero color ? thinking of useing that color for a two tone with the midnight blue I have and a gray/silver stripe seperating them. if I don't do silver and blue

Did you use a quality compressor/gun for this I'd assume?

Yes sir Professional here no spray cans for me. Although they work to for some things. As far as what I used It was DuPont Chroma Clear With a little touch of magic. It only took about 1 hour to do + dry time=4Hours.

Makes me want the razzi kit with the razzi spoiler

Yeah I have been thinkin of going black with a machined lip. There is too much black to get away with chrome wheels. Before the tinted tails it didn't look to bad but, now it just doesn't flow.

If you used automotive paint like us, maybe you didn't use enough clear. If you wanted, you could try waxing your taillights. Maybe that will make them glossier.

i dun like tinted tails, but they look pretty good on your car! razzi spoiler is nice. your wheels look ok, no need to change em. black wheels often look like naked wheels w/out hubs.
