Factory Monsoon amp replacement ?s

I want to replace the factory Monsoon amp. Anyone know a good replacement that will fit and if a wiring harness would be needed? Any other info would be greatly appreciated, too. Thanks!

Exactly how do I know if I have the factory amp, and where is it. If it helps, I do have the window sticker for my 1999 GL.

You cant unlug thisamp and replace it with aftermarket.

If you want to replace that amp count on replacing everything. You might be able to get away with stock head unit, but outside that amp, speakers and all new wiring.

Any other way is aa hacked up way.

I've noticed that there are currently NO sticky's in this section.

That and I'm having trouble finding stuff on the "trick" or whever it takes to get the stock CD player to work reliably.

A sticky in the how to section is what I was talking about. As far as a "trick" I don't know about that as well, I do know that it isn't as simple as unplugging the factory amp and cutting those wires and running them to the new one. Really just buy a line output converter and run that to the amp...bam boom pop, all done.

Bottom line is if you cant afford $20 for a good line output converter and $40 for an amplifier kit you have no business messing with any of it.
