Getting Air out of Cooling system 2.4L
Hi,
I had changed my cooling fluid from my 2.4L4, i could not get the half out of it.
But when i want to put the new fluid car (in the reservoir), i could not get it in (all of it).
Is there a nipple or something i can get the air out of the system, my 2001 3.8V6 Camaro, has a bleeding screw on top of the thermostaat, but i can't find it on my Alero.
thanks for the advice
greetings Patrick

Is that what was in it originally?
And yea, You're looking at flushing, Refilling with Water, and keep doing the same until you get just water, then do the same while you refill with dexcool.

How to get the air out.
Take the coolant cap off and start the car, The coolant will start to come out, keep filling it and when it stops comming out, all the air is out

^^ I thought he was since he's talking about air petrooster on the 3800 motor?
Meh...
If you get it flushed, make sure it's a postive flush. A lot of GM dealers and shade tree shops use a negative flush system. The gaskets are not designed for this and they get weakened, a lot. So much so you'll have a leaking gasket within a few weeks, or even days
