Service Engine Soon light

So it came on today, i hooked up the scanner.....
code 420-catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)

Now my question is.....what do i need to get replaced? I cleared the code for now, if it comes back on i will get whatever i need.....but i figured i would see what happens. Do i need a new o2 sensor? what is it?

your catalytic converter is not efficient anymore

as long as it's not plugged, doesn't matter.

mine came on too a few weeks ago, i just disabled the error in HPTuners

Off topic, but on thursday my buddy pulls up at school and im hanging out with my other friends. So he's like "billy, wanna go for a ride? my clutch just started to break in" (he just did a motor swap in his integra, upgraded all the internals, and a few other things....hes making around 200 hp).....i was a little hesitant (cause everyone says he drives crazy) but i went. So we pull out and this effer starts flying down the road. We were doing 65 in a 35 and he flys up behind a car and brakes REAAAAAAAAAAL hard. then we go on this back road doing 80 in a 40......let me just say................I AM NEVER RIDING WITH HIM AGAIN. scariest driving experience of my life.

that usually happens when people want to show you their car, my friend drives like a douche like that because he's "got a V8" in his explorer... goes and revs it (for laughs) as he rolls by people.

when i show people my car i use a wide open road or a highway on ramp.

yea i guess......i just get nervous when people im driving with drive crazy.....cause i like to have control of the car. haha......plus, this dude drives crazy all the time! It was a FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST car though. It was a horrible ride because his car is lowered about 2 in and every bump you hit the car bounces. We hit this one bigger bump in the road and i swear we got a little air off of it......LOL

lol, one of my friends was "showing off" his camaro to me and he was going 100+ down a back farm road and he wasn't paying attention because he got a phone call and we almost ran out of road. i had to pull the e-brake because i thought we were gonna die. it put some nice flat spots in his rear tires but at least we're alive. i'll never go with anyone to have them show off their car again unless i know it has less than 100 hp.

^^ lol, i do. but i'll feel safer with those takata seatbelts. plus, i can reach the e-brake on your car too.

lol, my friend matt has a pontiac 6000 with the 2.5 iron duke. that thing has only 95 hp. he was trying to show off to me one time and we did a 0-60 run that took forever! and he was all proud of it.
