new wiring

i'm putting in all new speakers and speaker wiring in is their n.e tricks to putting the new wires and should i even bother taking the old wires out or just leave them in?

when going through that rubber piece in the doors, if your not using fish tape, use a ton of electric tape and wrap it like 6" down the wire so your wire is nice and stiff, makes getting through there a lot easier.
