Center Bore

ok i gave up and eff the search button on this one i tried

hub centric rings fix the center bore issue yes

but im seeing rims that list the size of the center bore such as 72 and 73 (if thats millimeters i dunno)

but what is the size of the center bore for the alero, itd be great to get a set and not eff with hub centric rings

omfg the hole in teh center, the part hubcentric rings r for, u know like the base it sits on, the size of the cut out for that, i dont want to get a rim with a bore to small, aka unusable

thanks so these rims that are 72 and 73 will be great with rings much appriectiated, does anyone know whats the lowets offset possible by average state law for the alero, im thinking less offset will make the rim and tire stick out a bit from the tire wheel, a look ive always liked, but then you get in trouble with fender laws atleast with offroad trucks

i don't know about state law, but my wheels are a 17x8 with +32 offset and they fit right at the edge of the fenders, to get the rears to match you either have to have a staggered fitment or some spacers in the rear

what? why because of the drums, i dont get it how can they have differnt mess, when you rotate you wheels they sit the same, why would you need spacers to make the rrears right

i mean to get the rear to come all the way out to the fender edge like the front does with a 8" wide, +32 offset wheel

it depends on the offset of your wheels to begin with, and then you have to think about the extra stress you are putting on your wheel studs with spacers....

just a plain spacer like these


will put more stress because you move the wheel out and have less stud that the wheel is threaded onto. Bigger spacers like 1" up size have their own wheel lugs to help this problem, they are mostly used on 4x4 vehicles

hey dont slap me im double checking info i think is worng
i thought spacers gave civics and s10s the weels that stuck out an inch or 2 from the well, another cook at work said that was just lowprofie tires i thought it was spacers i thouhg low profile just meant thint tires for big rims
