Okay, so i wanted more chrome on my car so i put the stick on chrome door guard stuff from Canadian Tire around many of the seems on the outside of my car, around the doors, on the ventshades, around my hood, on my trunk, and around the fuel door. Looks like the shizza everywhere, i love it except for on the fuel door. It looks great there too, but the problem i'm having is that the chrome trim around the fuel door rubs on the rear quarter panel, and causes stones and dirt to get trapped on the gas bib, which also rub on the rear quarter panel, and now i've got rust there!!! I was wondering how to fix this problem without repainting my quarter panel or using touch up paint. I was thinking of doing the mustang billit cap transplant, but wasn't sure if i would have to grind enough of the quarter panel down to get rid of all the rust. I was also thinking of using a bigger fuel door like off a Ram or Durango, cause i see those on ebay all the time. You guys got any ideas on how to fix this?
