actually while were on the subject of cleaning crome, what do some of you suggest for cleaning chrome. i got polish and all that good stuff but how about getting them nice and clean before polishing...cuz i dont trust a lot of the rim cleaners that are out there.

mothers wheel mist works good, it's non abrasive, and can be used to clean all metals.
and for polishing, mothers billet metal polish is similar to neverdull, both work well, but i think the mothers is a little more expensive

no, neverdull comes in a can full of this cotton type material, it has the neverdull on it, you use it and toss it... then you can wipe up what little residue there will be(if any) with a rag.

do not use windex, cause windex has amonia (or how ever you spell it) in it and if that stuff gets a chance to dry on yoru rims, it destroys the polish, i was pissed when it happened to me

never use windex or any window cleaners on your rims. because of ammonia. miswell piss on your rims.
just use chrome polish. if the rims are little dirty then just using chrome polish is fine.
if they are pretty dirty then carry a spray bottle of water with ya and just spray the rims down and wipe off and then use chrome polish.

Is semi-chrome sold in stores?
And is there a cleaner good for cleaning headlight covers? One of mine on the Daytona is yellowing/hazing.

that is how neverdull cleans the aluminum. it scratches off the residue.
so this is some good stuff for chrome.......
Young people. stop trying to find the damn easy way out of doing something. do you find an easy way to wipe your ass?
want to clean chrome.............water (with or without soap) and chrome polish.....PERIOD. do it the right way not the halfass way.

you won't the first time or second time. but after awhile you start noticing fine scratches in your chrome. and when the sun hits them you will really see them.
trust me from someone who has cleaned this much chrome and it is still like brand new and it is 15+ years old

I like some mothers, too, as long as I don't have to deal with their kids. :P
