tune-up

About to do my 1st tune up. Do I need to replace the O2 sensors? Got plugs, plug wires, and fuel filter. Am I forgetting anything?

Air filter. Also, how much mileage do you have on your car? If the O2 sensors arent backfiring, I wouldn't replace them. I have heard some people clean them. Maybe someone here could clarify on that being a good idea or not.

You should check you’re o2 sensor at least. Personally I would get one weather its good or bad, just as preventative maintenance.

How many miles on your car? Also it wouldn't hurt to change the o2 sensors. They play an important role in stretching gas mileage and preventing your cat from early damage. Plus they help engine performance since the pcm uses them to control air/fuel mixture.

The recommended lifespan for the Oxygen sensor (heated) is 100,000 miles. However, the PCM will usually do a fairly good job at detecting a fault.

while that is true, i believe that if it is operating at one extreme or another of it's tolerated voltage there is a benefit to be had by replacing it.
