Wheel Size Question
Hello,
I just had a question about wheel width...
If an Alero is on stock springs can you put:
19x8.5?
19x9?
19x.9.5?
Has anyone tried any of those sizes?
Thanks
Bruce

19x8.5 with 34mm offset and 255/30R19 is the widest you can go without scraping tires when turning, or taking a bump or seating people in the back... even with that they are scraping... but consider i'm dropped 2,5 in approx with custom coilovers

Is it possible to have 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9 in the rear?

^ yes. the rear wheel-well doesn't have the liner. Just make sure you have the right offset so the tires don't rub the springs.

i think with that in the rear it will stick out of sidewall too much and if your running a high profile tire it will rub on the actual lip of the wheel well

this is also true. as long as the tire diameter (at the tread) is under 28 inches in the rear (and it doesn't stick way too far out) you'll be fine.

I'm just looking for the perfect combination so everything is just flush, tire not sticking out or an inch or two inside the well.
Picsture of the OSV Alero are just right.

unless you are needing major traction wheels that wide are just a waste of money, if you just want the look get 7.5 in wide wheels and some spacers.......
