try having a radiator that decides to get clogged with who knows what, causing your engine to overheat and blow pretty much every gasket known to man

I'm with Adria. I really do not want to drive from Texas to Michigan by myself so if we can get a caravan from Texas to go there, I may be game with enough encouragement. But I just do not see the logic in 4-6 days of driving for 2 days of fun as well...Would have been much easier when i lived in Ohio but I was broke and I think that was when I had surgery as well.

This year it will be contingent on whether the Army will give me leave for that time. And hell, if that were the case I would want to see my family.

So how many other texas caravanners are amongst us?

ya the whole car like bounces when he gets out because there is so much tension on the springs.

I was the only ONE that came the furthest in a HONESTLY straight shot. I left my house at 0730 (730am) Thursday morning and got there at like 2330 (1130pm) that same night. However I give tnalero props too, cause i only did like 3 more hours than he did.

However it doesn't matter how far or how long you drive, once you get there the fun to be had will make you forget all about the drive. At least till you are all alone on the highway. LMAO. And remeber to obtain radio silence for a LONG TIME. ROTF

I'm stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX in El Paso. The border sucks. It would be cool if I could get my gf to come or pick her up on the way through from her ICU course in D.C. I don't know...just does not seem an efficient use of leave time.
