a ton of cv and hub threads question
so i changed my front hub assemblys on my car 2 weeks ago and pretty asy followed the how to did it with a friend who went to mechanic school. instant improvement car drives great. better then before they went bad. now all the sudden today 2 weeks later im hearing what i will refer to a clicking sound only from the passanger side and only when the wheel is being turned to one side slowly its very faint radio has to be completely off but this deffinantly came out of nowhere and its a sound i never heard in any car. i have a hard time believeing its the bearings i bought the sfk ones which everyone suggested and i know they are installed correctly. if this is my cv or axle is that kinda wierd 2 weeks after hub assemly this starts and is it normal for only one side. any tips to find out what it is/ the rubber boots on both sides of cvs are in perfect shape no cuts tears cracking nothing so idk what the heck is going on. any ideas and help to fix the problem appretiated. i also have new quick struts that havent made a noise for 2 months incanse that matters.

i would check my caliper bolts, if you dont tighten them well they can fall out, happend to me when i let my peers finish my front driver side, if thats not it lift the car up turn the wheel yourself and listen for and try and give us a better explanation besides clicking.

agreed. lift the front end, and turn the wheel with someone over by that side. see if they can hear what is doing it.

I feel your pain, OP
Recently, I've been hearing a clicking sound from my front passenger wheel area. I'm on bags. What's weird is that it makes the same clicking noise that the back struts make (anyone who has easystreet bags knows how noisy the rears are). I have no clue what could be causing this noise. It only doesnt it on any type of bump. I'm thinking upper strut mount?

That's what I was thinking this morning. I remember I had to take them out whenever I painted my engine bay, and I don't remember tightening them back with a wrench. I will check when I get back to the house today.
Thanks bro

yeah i say click cuz when i read all the posts the way other members described it seemed to resemble what i hear. as as far as upper strut mount thats incredibly hard to believe they are brand new monro sensatrac quick struts installed a month ago. car didnt make this noise before hub change. im going to check the caliper bolts like suggested and have someone under my car record it on video so you guys can watch and hear it. if it is the axle i heard they arent hard to change out? is it as easy as the hubs were? i couldnt find a how to on it.

just because you had the struts replaced with monro's doesn't mean that the upper strut mounts were replaced. you can reuse strut mounts when your install new struts, sounds like in your cause you just replaced the struts
