Rims!
Sweet jesus i found some!
went and got them this morning. Rims and tires for $420 total.
Motegi Mr7 225/45/17 (i think) tires are like new.(sunny tires. ehh... i bet they are wicked low quality, but these are purely summer tires. so... maybe 5 months of driving a year...) They are dirty... but i wanted to get them on.
(i had some inital mounting issues)
Nate, when you read this.... I'm a dumbass. Each tire has a small spacer in the center below the hub cap. It just tapped out with a screwdriver, then they mounted perfectly.
woot! i like'em.

They look pretty damn good.
The Sunny tires are OK. I have one on my car right now because after I hit that open manhole cover it split the sidewall on the one Michellen on the car and I need new tires in the fall so I opted for a cheap replacement.
Some people like the Sunny's, for me it's an OK replacement for the time. Brand new I can spin up the tire while my 4/32 tread on the Michellen will still wheel hop from time to time

the new tires seem to be a bit noisy. (i'm used to stock touring, not summer directional) kinda have a bit of a whine to them as you speed up...
...but i'm sure they need to be broken in a bit... and i need to break into them a bit.

I'm just south of buffalo, i know all about the snow haha. I'm right on the lake so i get lake effect bad. Eibachs are enough of a drop that it'll really finish the look.

yeah..i see your in angola now. The only holding point, is the fact that i go to school IN buffalo (litterally the city of) and the curbs can get crazy. I think they are fixing it. (my bumper hasn't hit the incline in a few months) so i think a slight drop is in order.
now i just need to find some... cheap.

You win for the winter snow
We got a few big storms here in Philly this past year, with good tires I was fine with Eibachs.
After about 13 to 15 inches of snow, Redog acts like a RWD car thou, with NO warning that the rear's going to kick out. I did get stuck in a foot of snow, but that was because of that Sunny tire. I put it in 2 and it pulled right out, no problem (that happened at an intersection.
Also with 23 inches of snow on the ground, and Redog in a snow drift, I pulled right out, after 4 back-ups, and no shoveling Snow was over the hood

woah woah woah... no chance in HELL i'm driving it as is, in the snow. I have stock rims with dedicated winter tires that get swapped to mid september.
i wouldn't even THINK about using anything less than all season tires in the winter, let alone dedicated summer tires.
Gunmetal just matches the dark red better. chrome would look lame, silver slightly less good.. black is too dark imo.
now i gotta decide if i'm going to do the headlight bezels to match, probably get grill mesh to match, and how do i gunmetal that chrome stripe... hmmmm

Funny.
Here, I wouldn't THINK about using All season tires in the winter. It's all about Studded Winter tires here (I run goodyear Nordics)

So that's what all the white stuff is!
My "Summer" Tires are still all season, Because It's not unheard of to have a snowstorm in July and august for a weekend.
