Hey everybody
Hey everyone, my name is Tom. I'm 17 and have been cruising the forums here for a couple months. I have a 1999 blue pearl colored 3400 V6 4-door sedan. I believe it is a GLS. Not sure though. It is my first car and I love it! I also love tinkering with it. I mostly focus on appearence since I don't know much about cars as far as under the hood goes, but I'll eventaully get into performance upgrades.
The mods I've done so far include, painted stock rims black with silver lips, blue 12" Led bars in the footwells, blue 15" neon tubes under the seats, i've also changed all the interior lighting to blue 194s and 211s. I think that's what the bulbs are... I've also changed my gauges to blue 194s also. I have blue HVAC knobs currently and I'm still in the process of painting and dying the interior blue/black. I also tinted my tails.
I got this car from a local seller who fixed it up after it was totalled for about 2 grand.
My future plans are to install a sound system, do the mesh grille mod, clear my corners, tint the windows and possibly install a CAI.
I am very open to opinions And suggestions. I love learning about this car from those who have good experience. So feel free to suggest things to me! Thanks!
(I would put up some pics of the car but I haven't figured out how to upload pictures from my cell yet.)

I'm running on wifi and my iPod touch right now so I could probably upload a few if I knew how. How would I go about sending them to my e-mail? and I'm from the white bear lake/st. Paul area.

Have a touch download the photobucket app. Create an account upload pics in app. Then go into safari and goto photobucket login click a pic then click get urls then copy the very last one and paste it here.

I do this all the time. Just send a picture message to your email. Instead of sending it to a contact, just type in xxxxxxx@gmail.com or whatever. Then you can directly upload from your computer, and do it through photobucket or tinypic or w/e.

I tried that but it won't let me change to letters. I'll make a photobucket account and see if there are any mobile uploading options.

Carbon fiber or not, if they aren't functional, they just add weight, which is the whole point of CF if I'm not mistaken. But as long as you like it, that's all that matters! You did a good job on the tails, but I would do the third brake light as well.

The pinstripe was on it when I got it. I'm afarid to remove it in case of sun damage.
The interior doesn't match the outside though. The paint is a very hard color to match. It involves mixing pearl, pink, green, blue and white. And I couldnt find vinyl dye or any krylon fusion in the correct colors needed. The paint and dye do match the seat covers and steering wheel cover I also got for my birthday in so I think it works alright in my opinion...
Btw whiterider, I really like what you did with your tails. I was considering that idea for my tails, but the paint is really tough to do to get it right. (At least for me anyways.)

Welcome. Take the vents off. They just make you look like a total newbie to vehicle modification. Every POS car around here has Buick fender vents stuck on them.
