Are the subs moving? If they are moving the subs are out of phase. Check wires going to subs.

Seems to be an RCA issue.

^ can't be the remote turn on if the power light on the amp is on
i'd say its either bad RCA cables or if the HU isn't new the sub preamp out could be shot. it would be separate from your regular speaker amp so they would still work.

get no boom...do you mean no sound at all or just not loud like you would expect? If there is sound then it's just settings on the amp, check the gain setting on your amp.

the amp is probably blown, my kenwood amp is blown however everything turns on and seems like it isn't blown until you actually try and use it, swapped out my amp for another one and there we go it was working again

Ding ding, i'd check this too. A lot of times it is something as such and often overlooked. A solution to be checked for that costs you nothing as opposed to blowing money on parts that aren't bad. Here are your most probable options and solutions:
1. Bad RCA's.
Solution: Try a new set and see what happens.
2. Power supply or something of the such may be blown. Had an old two-channel go out, everything lit up still. Tore apart the casing and had a few blown resistors.
Solution: Unplug your wiring from the amplifier to subwoofer, insert + and - leads of dmm into appropriate terminals on your amplifier. Turn reading on dmm to Vac, play music and see if you are getting any numbers. (tip: this method manipulated is actually a good way to set your gain.)
Just going off of common sense, the amplifer is getting power. The only other things necessary are the head unit to send the musical signal (RCA's), the amplifier to amplify that musical signal (amplifier guts may be fried, blown resistors, etc), and the signal from the amplifier must be sent to the subwoofers.(possible phase issue, make sure + is going to + and - is going to -)
After thinking about it, have you set your gain adjustments yet? Low pass filters? If you have just installed this system then you need to tune it. lol If none of the above work out report back. When it comes to car audio it can be the silliest little thing that causes the biggest headache. Just go over all of the basics mentioned and hope you have a warranty on that gorilla amp if worst case comes up. :/ Good luck!
