High RPm SVS Trac off and ABS lights ON???
Ok..so ive searched and havent found much close to what im experiencing. My SVS anti lock and trac off ligts are on. When im on the highway or just at high speeds.. right around 60-70 mph ..the car would stay in the same gear but the rpm is going up while im losing speed..I wanna say that its the speed sensor but when i took it to Aamco(which i shouldnt have) they told me the transmission is goiing bad.i wanna believe them but at the same time im seeing alot of people with almost the same pronblem saying its the speed sensor. Any help would be appreciated. A little facts..I replaced the two front hubs last year june..i have 140000 miles on the car.

Could be the torque converter

Yeah but replacing a torque converter may cost less than a tranny rebuild. Not sure though, I've only ever pulled them out of longitudinal mounted transmissions.

It could be. That's what I would say it is in an old car that's all mechanical, because the torque converter functions based on oil pressure, and if it leaks it could cause something like this. But with all the computer stuff I could easily be wrong. Anyways, it's something to look at.

Take it in to a different mechanic, or the dealership. Tell them you've had a different shop give you what they thought was wrong with it. DO NOT TELL THE SECOND SHOP WHAT THE FIRST ONE SAID WAS WRONG. Just tell them you want a second opinion.
Also, you need to get clarification from AAMCO as to what EXACTLY they think is wrong with your transmission where they think it needs to be replaced. If they can't pinpoint it for you, then they're likely to be full of crap and just want your money.

also ..is this related to the problem.....
Service Bullitin
4T40E , 4T45E , 4T65E Surge Slip Condition Under Load in 2nd, 3rd , and or 4th - kw 3.1 automatic body chuggle fourth hesitation hot LG8 miss second shift third valve #PI01385A - (Mar 25, 2004)
4T40E, 4T45E, 4T65E Surge Slip Condition Under Load in 2nd 3rd and or 4th.
Condition/Concern:
The 4T40E/4T45E/4T65E automatic transmission may experience a slip surge condition in second, third and or fourth gears while under load, such as driving up a long hill or mountain. The conditions either separate or working in combination seem to cause the 'Engine Load %' to drop to a value which the PCM commands a lower line pressure (increase in PCS amperage).
'Normal' degradation of MAF over time aggravated by induction of foreign material (fine dust, oil from non-OEM air induction systems; secondly, build up of carbon deposits in combustion chamber/intake valves over time; thirdly, outside ambient temperatures above 95 degrees F(35 degrees C) seem to aggravate the condition.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The MAF should be swapped from a known good unit or replaced and the vehicle evaluated
Clean the top half of engine to remove carbon deposits. Use GM PN 12378546, 3 Step Induction Cleaner Kit, available through GMSPO.The 3 Step Induction Cleaner Kit should be used with tool E-957-001-C available from Auto Tech Industries at 1-800-522-8882 who is the approved supplier of the installation tool. The E-957-001-C kit costs about $595 but has all the adapters to work on TBI and multiport systems and EGR cleaning.
However I'd get a can of CRC Electrical Connector cleaner and open all the connectors, spray them out, let then sit for and hour or so, dry out and reconnect. Also very good for cleaning the MAF

Yeah, come to think of it I've heard of the MAF doing this before, clean that first, cause that will be cheaper than either a new tranny or torque converter.

I would clean the MAF, and if your tranny fluid is burnt get it changed(not flushed), that could fix the problem, and if it doesn't it doesn't cost enough to burn a hole in your pocket.
