cold air intake
Is there any websites that offer a legit cold air or ram air intake for the 3.4 L engine ? or is it better to build your own ?

As long as the filter goes down into the front bumper its a cold air. If its in the engine bay it will be a warm air

i live in florida and we get heavy rain fall, ive had my filter in the fender for a little over 8 months now and ive never had a problem, i just avoid massive puddles, i also have mine mounted kinda high in the fender so just incase i do hit a deep puddle it doesnt ingest water

Thanks, This is my second car, I drove a Chevrolet Cavalier for two years, before this Alero, I used to be on the j-body.org boards a lot, I know just a little bit about modifications to cars, my best one was a glasspack muffler on my cavalier lol I will check out that thread out though

If you're scared of water getting into the intake they do make a bypass valve that reason

Definitely check it out because a few years ago I was right where you are, with the same questions and concerns. If you click on my profile you are able to view any thread I created. A lot of them are titled for ease of search and have a lot of helpful information.

mpracing has a very good cold air intake, polished aluminum and such. but when it has a 220 price, not sure if your willing to pay that. seeing how a homemade one may still give the same performance.

Overpriced and you will most likely never get it from mpr. Just search on ebay for one-I got mine for 15 dollars that included a filter, but bought a K&N at autozone later.
Still trying to wrap up the headers mod. Need to learn how to datalog since there are not any decent dyno shops around here.
