magnaflow cat but number doesnt match?

need some help here finally going to redo my exhaust i was about to order my converter and catback but the converter i wanted was magnaflow direct fit 23520. now you can buy this from jegs, summitt, autoanything, autozone, heres the issue every retailer says it fits our v6 aleros. but on magnaflows site they give a different part number and seems this is for gm 3100 not 3400. still no word from magnaflow yet. i dont want to order it and it not fit anyone have any ideas or know about this?

Just about anything but pistons and sleeves from a 3100 and 3400 are interchangeable. Order from Summit, I got mine from there and it fits great.

Whats the difference between this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MP...RO&prefilter=1
and the other one posted above? I know the one posted by Lucalare is for the 3.1L, but how come the one for the 3.4L costs more? Is there a difference in performance or is it basically the same cat, different part number?

The second one is California legal.

They're stainless, and in case you didn't know, welding stainless to mild steel results in total failure.

The application guide on summit says its 49-state though, but i'll go with your world on the 3.1L cat because I know it works.

So I got my magnaflow cat on Tuesday and I opened up the box. Did the cats that you guys ordered say magnaflow anywhere on it? The warranty card doesn't say magnaflow on it aswell. It came in a box that said Magnaflow part #23520 on it though. I'm not sure if it's supposed to say it anywhere, but I'm just making sure.

I'd have to look at the warranty card, and I never actually looked at the converter before I had it put in.
