Another Grand Am guy
From Burlington Ontario here and thought I'd come by and see if there are a few 3400 members in the area. I'm from the days of Grands Ontario and have owned my 2000 GT1 for just over 11 years now. Lots of mods, lots of track days and lots of meets... lol "Back in the day" we had a few meets together with Aleromod but it has been a long time since Ive seen any of you guys. *Maybe some of the older members here will remember the meets in Niagra Falls and the hotel nights on Clifton hill. Those were a lot of fun.
Well, since then got married, have two little girls, Olivia 3, and Gwenivere 9 months. My wife still lets me tinker with the ride and am always lookng for that little bit of extra go, hahaha. I hope it's OK to have a Grand Am guy kickin' around once in a while and would be up for a meet here or there once in a while. Maybe I can pass along some of the experience I have gained in my years of message boards, meets and modding a 3400!
Anyway, nice to see that you guys are still alive and kickin' after all this time, and hope we can cross paths soon for a coffee and check out some of your rides.
Keep the shiny side up!

There is a little of everything about me and the car here:
http://s823.photobucket.com/home/MMGT1
First pic you see there I'm on the left getting a CV clip out of the axle stub when my Brother-in-law and I did full suspension on both the 99 and the 00. Rest of it has a bunch of picks of the mods done to the 2000 and a few vids of the car when we built the engine and a couple at the track.

Had the SC on for about 20 mins that night. Was only on to test fit it. Took it off that night and since then have pretty much replaced every part of it. Bearings, seals, drive shaft custom made, new key-way in the shaft so it has 3 keys in it now instead of one. Hope to actually install it this summer sometime.
The 99 I have had a charger on it before I bought it, and has the rear mount battery box in it that I need to swap over. I still need to have the tubing I want fab'ed so I can install the charger. The way RSM sets them up they do not use a MAF, I will be. Just making it right before I put it in. Tried to reference everything I herd being wrong with it before I install it. Its a 14lb charger of which I intend to use 8Lbs of... wink, wink
Thanks for the welcome as well guys. Ill spend some time checkin out the boards to see what you guys have going on here but again, hope to meet some of you guys real soon!

intercooling is dependent on the desire to route piping and an intercooler, not the supercharger itself...
he better be intercooling it. no point in boosting when the air pushed in is 160+ F..

Routing the pipe is the hardest part of this. Gonna be a bish... lol
It wasn't cooled as the kit came. If you see where the outlet sits is going to be a real bugger to plum this in with the cooler.

it looks like relatively easy routing to me, same side in/out intercooler, one pipe down between the trans mount area and around, the other where the stock airbox tube was.
also, we're being invaded!
