How hard is it to change the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder

I was driving my car home last night and heard a pop coming from around my clutch pedal. when I turned off my car and went to start it again my clutch pedal was all the way down to the floor... I was able to pull it up by hand but it no longer does its job. I was able to drive my car home without so i know my clutch is fine. My guess is it the master cylinder and or my slave cylinder. Do i have to pull the tranny to get to them or are the behind the engine by the fire wall. Thanks!!!!

try bleeding it first. that exact same thing happened to me.

slave cylinder is in the bell housing in front of the clutch, so it'll need to be pulled. master cylinder is part of the brake. so it comes as one peice (maybe not totally sure). but it can be replaced without pulling that tranny

but i would try bleeding first. unless your leaking oil, i wouldnt guess the other things right away
